August is hot for MONSTER King Salmon, Coho Salmon and Steelhead Trout  This is a great time to get kids or friends into fishing.  Lots of big fish and lots of action.  The weather is beautiful this time of year and the fishing is on fire!

November Lake Trout are coming!!  I know its along way till November but this is a very short season.  The start of the November till Thanksgiving is all it lasts.  Some of the most action packed fishing of the year.  Lots of numbers and lots of big monster lake trout.  Fishing in shallow water is awsome because releasing these fish is easy and not hard on the fish.  Your limit is only 2 fish per person.  On a good day we would land 30+ lake trout from 12-22lbs.  Even a average day produced 15-20 fish.  This is a must do for a avid fisherman.  If you are just starting out this will spoil you.  Dates are very very limited.

Congratulations to Bob Tortulano for catching the 2009 Indiana DNR Fish of the Year.  The fish hit a meatrig during a trip on my boat this summer.  It measured 39.5 inches and weighted 24 lbs 10 oz.
